John Clinton Walker, Jr

Franklin, NC - John Clinton Walker, Jr. age 67, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at a local hospital. Born in York, SC, he was the son of the late John Clinton and Dorothy Yandel Walker. He was a carpenter, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane Hildreth Walker; three daughters, Ruby DelAngel and her husband Robert of Sanger, TX, Denise Walker of Birmingham, AL and Annette Totherow and her husband Johnny of Clarendon, NC; three sons, Michael Walker and his wife Michelle of Houston, TX, Laney Walker of the home and John Walker and his wife Tammy of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters, Carolyn Gibson of Freeport, TX, Nancy Sims of Freeport, TX and Joyce Overcash of Eagle Pass, TX; one brother, Timothy Scott Walker of Freeport, TX. Thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Tippett officiating. Burial will be held at Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 12 from 1:00 2:00PM, one hour prior to the service.
