John Russell Wilber

John R. Wilber went to be with the Lord, September 7, 2015, in Franklin, North Carolina.  He was born April 12, 1940 in Sandusky, NY, the son of Lewis K. (Pete) Wilber and Ruth (Schang) Wilber.  He served in the US Navy after which he became a long haul truck driver.  He met many obstacles in life, but in the end had an understanding with his family and God.  He is survived by siblings, Joan (Wes) Boutwell of Lakeland, FL and William Wilber of Baltimore, MD; five children, Emerson Sever (Cathie) of Simpsonville, SC, Theresa (Skip) Trammel of Franklin, NC, Kathy Massey‑Owen of Leadville, Colorado, John R. Wilber, Jr. of Georgia and Kimberly Hadzima of Virginia Beach, VA.  He had 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Patricia Helene Harrell.
