John Williamson

Franklin, NC - John Williamson, age 98, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Jervis Coats and Helen Nellie McCluskie Williamson. He was married to the late Pearl Rodwell Williamson who died in 2007.

Mr. Williamson was credit manager for Exxon Mobile; was a volunteer fireman in Millwood, NY and liked woodworking and boating. He was a member of First Baptist Church, McAllen, TX and attended First Alliance Church in Franklin.

He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Carol Wiegand and husband Richard of Oxford, NC; two sons, Jervis Scott Williamson and wife Suzanne of Franklin, NC and John Kit Williamson and wife Darcy of Owasso, OK; one brother, Jervis Williamson and wife Marjorie of Connecticut; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Dodgion and Rev. Mitch Shultz officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Franklin VFW Post #7339 and American Legion Post #108.
