John Roy Zinkand

Franklin, NC - John Roy Zinkand, 84, of Franklin passed away Tuesday, March, 11, 2014. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Bauman Zinkand. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was a carpenter and was a member of Franklin VFW. He will be missed by his son Eric and his entire family.

Mr. Zinkand is survived by two daughters; five sons, one sister, 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 16th at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Price officiating. Burial will be held at Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 16th from 2:00 3:00PM, one hour prior to the service at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. Franklin VFW Post #7339 and American Legion Post #108 will perform full military graveside rites.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bryant Grant Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Franklin, NC 28734, to help with expenses.
