Johnny David Myers

Mr. Johnny David Myers, 80, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, October 28, 2024.

Johnny was born January 12, 1944, in Franklin, NC to the late James C. and Lillie Meadows Myers.

Johnny is survived by three children, David (Paula), Jennifer (Tony) and Thomas (Brittani); three grandchildren, Brady (Lexia), Erica (Chandler) and Abbigale; one great-grandchild, Hallie Mae, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Myers (Emma Lou) and a sister, Mary Frances Myers Morrow (Jim).

Johnny was a beloved father, grandfather and friend. Many remember his friendly face from operating The Town Hill Service Station as well as working for the NC DOT until he retired.  He was always known to "pick" on you and for talking.  He loved to spend his days in the field raking hay, gardening, camping, and going to the local dirt tracks.  He was a proud member of the Iotla Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Iotla Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Holland, Darren Chastain, Wayne Pruitt, Larry Cagle, David Curtis and Brady McConnell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Parrish and Lyman Holland.
