Franklin, NC - Joseph Henry Cabe, 71, of Franklin passed away Monday, November 17, 2014. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Ralph and Rosalee Dills Cabe. He was a retired welder in Newport News Shipyard; he liked farming; was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved riding and racing Harleys and was a gun enthusiast. He was a member of Tellico Baptist Church.
Mr. Cabe is survived by his wife Linda McMahan Cabe; three sisters, Margie Wilson and husband Calvin of Yorktown, VA, Brenda Barnette and husband Earl of Gloucester, VA and Joyce Moody and husband Charles of Franklin; one brother, Marvin Cabe and wife Patricia of Gloucester, VA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Wilson and Geneva Stepp and one brother, Paul Cabe and several other siblings.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Tellico Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Stilwell and Rev. Morris Tippett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kent Cochran, Chad Cabe, David Cabe, Roger Cabe, Chris Cabe, and James Cabe. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 8:00 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
