Joseph Reid Sellers

Joseph Reid Sellers 75, of Franklin, NC, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 30, 2008 at his residence. He was a native of Macon County, NC, the son of the late Samuel V. and Gladys Waldroop Sellers. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was owner of Sellers Electric and in later years owned and operated Joe Sellers Realty. He loved doing special things for his family, gardening, and an overall handyman. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years Nancy Norris Sellers of Franklin, NC, one daughter Sheila Ledford and her husband Alan B. of Franklin, one Son Johnny Reid Sellers of Atlanta, GA, two sisters Edith Welch of Phil Campbell, AL, and Katherine Curtis of Valdosta, GA., one brother Bill Sellers and his wife Jodie, of Franklin, one grandson Zachery Elijah Ledford.

Funeral services will be Sunday June 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home in Franklin, NC with the Rev. Al Beck officiating. Pallbearers will be Bruce Elliott, Ed Fitzgerald, Larry Norris, Zachery Ledford, Brian and Steve Sellers, Chris Norris, and Jack Owens. The family will receive friends from two until three PM Sunday June 1, 2008 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Family Life Center 81 Bethel Church Road Franklin, NC 28734.
