Joyce Tallent Holland

Franklin, NC - Joyce Tallent Holland, 78, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Gordon and Pallie Tallent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Holland who died in 2002.

Mrs. Holland was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister; she loved to read, doing crossword puzzles and canning. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Perino and husband Len of Franklin, NC; one son, David Holland of Walled Lake, MI; two sisters, Cleta Ledford and Grace Greene both of Franklin, NC; one brother, Herschel Tallent and wife Polly of Garner, NC; one grand-daughter, Lori Jackson and fiancée Mario Hicks and one great-grandson, Matthew Mitchell Hicks.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Tallent.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Rogers and Rev. Tom Nahlan officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Holland, Ronald Holland, Darian Greene, Charles Ledford, Dennis Holland and Mark Holland. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
