Judie Mccafferty

Bryson City - Judie McCafferty of Needmore, Bryson City, NC lost her 6 month fight with lung cancer December 12th, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Kewanee, IL but called Bryson City, NC home. She was the daughter of Paul Westerlund and Lois Drehmer. She was an accountant at Nantahala Village and Mountain Ford of Bryson City, genealogist, story narrator, homemaker, beloved wife and an awesome mother. She will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Harold McCafferty; her daughter Tara Lea Todd Keener and Husband Rodney of Cantonment, FL; her son Timothy Nyles Todd and wife Laura of Southern Pines, NC; four sisters, Pauline Makowski, Susan Egbert, Priscilla Blattner and Diane Westerlund; five brothers, Steven, Richard, Roger, Daniel Westerlund and Tony Goellner; one granddaughter Logan; family member Bentley, their beloved St Bernard.

The family received friends at their home on Dec 12th and 13th. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to receive donations to help pay for the medical bills. Please send them to Tim Todd at 845 N Saylor St, Southern Pines, NC 28387.
