Judy (Miller) Pickens

Mrs. Judy Miller Pickens, 78, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 1, 2024. Mrs. Pickens was born in Macon Co. NC June 25, 1945, to the late Dover Miller and Frankie Tallent Miller.

Judy was a long-time member of Cowee Baptist Church. She owned and worked in the carpet and furniture business. She loved working in her flowers, cleaning house, and her work. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sisters, Linda Garner (Lee), Gayle Tallent (Carroll), Connie Curtis, Betty Ramey (Vaughn), and Sue Owen (Tim); sister-in-law, Kathy Pickens Rogers (Michael); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Pickens; sisters, Janice Henderson (Charles), Lucille Punch (Bill), and Dorothy Grant (Allen); and a brother, Steve Miller (Yvonne).

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Fish and Rev. Jason Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00- 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jamie Passmore, John Carver, Shane Ramey, Randy McCall, Edwin Grant, and Mark Albrecht. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty McCoy and Rick Tallent.
