Franklin, NC - Judy Farmer Sprinkle, 58, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late John and Isabelle Dills Farmer. She was employed at Ingles Grocery Store as bookkeeper. She was a 1974 graduate of Franklin High School then attended Southwestern Community College for two years and was a substitute teacher for the Macon County School System, and was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother who loved and cared for people.
Judy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ted Sprinkle, Jr.; one son, Nicholas Jay Sprinkle of Franklin; a half-brother, Ted Farmer of Franklin and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by half-brothers, Fred and Ned Farmer and Furman, Eugene and Johnny Tallent.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Windy Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Pruitt, Roy Green, Phil Jarrett, Dennis Stamey, Bobby Peek, Bruce Thompson and Jeff Darnell. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home where the body will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Scholarship Fund for Nick Sprinkle at PNC Bank, 100 West Main Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
