Karen Sue Keyser

Franklin, NC - Karen Sue Keyser, age 72, of Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in a Sylva hospital. Born in Wheeling, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas K. and Mary Elizabeth Sassig Keyser. She was a retail manager for The Avenue Ladies Store; was on the Board of Directors of The Macon County Humane Society; volunteered at The Macon County Humane Society Thrift Store and was a member of ASPCA. Karen was a true animal lover.

She is survived by her closest friend, Holly Rugg of Franklin, NC; one brother, Kurt Keyser and wife Kathy of Virginia Beach, VA; one niece and four nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at The Macon County Humane Society Thrift Shop.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Macon County Humane Society, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
