Karen Joy Rogers

Karen Joy Rogers, passed away April 9, 2022.  She was born April 10, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Lester R. Hodgson and Ruth Martin Hodgson.  Karen enjoyed homemaking on the ranch and loved her horses and dogs, she also enjoyed writing poems and short stories.  She was a Christian and attended Grace Bible Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arlin Richard Rogers.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Smith, Janet Gutierrez, Jill Rogers, and Richard Rogers; sister, "Cheryl and (Richard) Finch, and one other sister and brother; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held May 6, 2022 at 2 PM at  Garrett- Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville, NC. with the Rev. Kevin Hurt officiating.
