Mrs. Kay Bass Johnson, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Mrs. Johnson was born April 6, 1933, in Kissimmee, Florida to the late Clinton and Corlie Wheeler Bass.

Mrs. Johnson was a loving homemaker and worked as the church secretary at Orange City Baptist Church. She loved spending her summers in Franklin. She loved her flowers, yard work, gardening, and crocheting. Her greatest love was her late husband, Charles Alvin Johnson who she was married 55 years and her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kay was preceded in death by a grandson, David Knadle.

Survivors include two daughters, Minnie Long (Gene) of Franklin, NC and Charlene Knadle (Edward) of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren, Christopher Charles Long, Clayton Long, Jackie Long, Michael Knadle, Jonathan Knadle, and Stephen Knadle; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Knadle.

A private burial will be held in Florida at a later date.
