Highlands - Kelly Talley Munger, age 42, of Highlands, NC, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Bobby Joe Talley of Highlands and Sandra Rogers Collins, of Mt. Rest, SC.

Kelly was a cosmetologist at Creative Concepts in Highlands, and had worked in local real estate, serving in every capacity on the Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtors.

Kelly was a devoted, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who always put the well being of others before herself. Her smile and laughter brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by her husband Joe Stephen Munger who she was married to for 11 years, one son Jonathan Spencer Munger of Gainesville, GA, one daughter Chelsea Mariah Munger of Highlands, NC; two brothers Randy Talley of Washington, DC and Roger Talley of Walhalla, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Rev. Roy Lowe, Rev. Oliver Rice and Rev. Matt Shuler officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Luke, Ryan Gearhart, Michael Vilardo, James Reed, Brett Lamb and Jonathan Cannon. The Georgia State Troopers and Satolah Fire Department will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday evening at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home in Highlands.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made directly to Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
