Kelly Charles Sanders

Kelly Charles Sanders, 49, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.  He was born in Macon County, the son of Lois Herron Feeney of Franklin, NC,  and the late Charles Edward Sanders.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jana Sanders, who died in 2012.

Kelly was a US Army Veteran serving during Desert Storm, he drove a tank and was a Bronze Star recipient.  He owned a landscaping business and was a Baptist by faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Charles Sanders (Belinda) of Otto, NC and David Sanders of Sylva, NC; two nieces, Melissa Sanders and Annie Brown (Jacob) and two nephews, Hunter Sanders and Cooper Sanders.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Tommy Fouts officiating.  A Military graveside service will be follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with the American Legion Post 108 and the Franklin VFW Post 7339.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.
