Kenneth "Ken" Ray Provenzano, age 75, of Franklin, NC, born to the late Joseph Provenzano and Nancy Booth Provenzano, who survives, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Mr. Provenzano, or "Bear", worked for the Hialeah Police Department in Miami in Dade Co., FL for 20 years. During this time, he worked undercover, as a street cop in narcotics before retiring as a Sargent. He would go on to work for the Macon Co. Sheriff's Office until his retirement. Ken was also a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing. Ken also loved to feed people and like to cook. He loved his dogs and Westerns, as well as for the Miami Dolphins to win. Kenneth loved and provided for his family.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Provenzano is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Janie Provenzano; his children, Shelley (Lindsey) Niemann, Christie (Daniel "Danny") Rodriguez, and Heather (Collin) Ledford; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his brother, Larry Provenzano; and his sister, Terry Jovwiak.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
