Kenneth Webb

Franklin, NC - Kenneth Webb, age 66, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, December 31, 2012. Born in Rabun Co., GA, he was the son of Omie Mae Webb of Franklin, NC and the late George L. Webb. He was married to the late Gloria Ann Stiwinter Webb who died in 2007. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during Vietnam where he was an expert rifleman; an MP and dog handler. During his service, he received two Purple Hearts and a Medal of Valor. He was a truck driver for Bates Concrete and loved NASCAR racing. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by a daughter, Nyoka Yoyanda Webb of Franklin; two sons, Nicholas L. Webb and Kenneth Paul Webb and wife Wendy, all of Franklin; two sisters, Libby Beck and Lorene Younger, both of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wayne Buhl and Rev. Danny Prince officiating. Burial will be in Strain Cemetery. Franklin VFW Post #7339 and American Legion Post #108 will conduct full military graveside rites. Pallbearers will be Brandon Buhl, Scott Beck, Lamar Beck, James Beck, George Stiwinter and Jerry Stiwinter. The family will receive friend Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
