Mr. Larry Lee Freemire, 74, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026. He was born August 29, 1951, in Battle Creek, MI to the late Lowell Freemire Sr. and Evelyn Freemire.

Mr. Freemire was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He liked fishing and being outdoors. He also loved animals and enjoyed feeding deer. Larry was a hardworking man; an entrepreneur, he owned several businesses throughout his life where he appreciated and respected his employees, as they did him. He always loved to help people in need.

Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lou Freemire; his two daughters, Darlene Elkins (Tony) and Christine Trice-Freemire; his six grandchildren, Ricky, Rayna, Rylee, Chase, Tonni, and Taelor; one great-grandchild; Ryker, his sister, Ginger King (Bruce); his brothers, Lowell Freemire Jr. (Joy) and Alan Freemire (Mary); as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Freemire.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the Grant Chapel with the Rev. Davis Hooper officiating. A private burial will follow at Addington Cemetery.
