Lena May Picklesimer

Highlands, NC - Lena May Picklesimer, age 86, of Cobblestone Drive, Highlands, NC passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her residence. She was born in York County, Maine the daughter of the late Merton J. Davis and Celina Currier Davis. She was retired from a Mill Industry where she worked as a spinner. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and was very artistic. She always loved cooking and she loved pets,especially cats. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver. Lena loved their cottage on the lake.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Archibald " Archie" L. Picklesimer; her son, Glenn R. Picklesimer and his wife, Cindy of Keystone Heights, FL; two sisters, Dora DePasquale of St. Petersburg, FL and Jeannette Hartford of Sanford, ME; a half brother, Paul Clements of Barrington, NH; three grandchildren, Aaron, Kelly and Adam.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4 at 2:00PM at Blue Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Oliver Rice, Rev. Ed Houston and Rev. Robert Ramey officiating. Burial will be held at Blue Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 8:00PM at Bryant Grant Funeral Home in Highlands where the body will remain until placed in the Church thirty minutes prior to service.
