Lori (Mays) Doozan

Lori Mays Doozan, 57, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her residence. Born in Flint, MI. to Paul Alan Mays and Darlene Julia Mays. Lori was an elementary school teacher in Apollo Beach, FL for many years. She was also heavily involved in her community, active in her church, both with women's ministry and bible study at the Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Apollo, Fl. Lori enjoyed gardening, wedding and party planning, as well as interior design. She also loved the peace and tranquility she found living in the mountains.

Survived by her husband, Tom Doozan; son, Peter Doozan of Apollo Beach, FL; a daughter, Julia Daniel (Zachary) of Franklin, NC; father and mother, Pual and Darlene Mays of Apollo Beach, FL; a brother, Tim Mayes (Vickie) of Apollo Beach, FL.

Celebration of life will be held Friday, June 3, 2022, at 12pm at Cowee Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Smith and Rev. George Thomason officiating.
