Louise Ellen (Roper) Williamson

Louise Ellen Roper Williamson, 90, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016.  She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Carrie Roper.  She was married for 62 years to Harold Williamson, who died January 8, 2011.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Randall Williamson and several brothers and sisters.  She was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and husband, Rilla and Wayne Hughart of Horse Shoe; her grandson and wife, Jeff and Jody Williamson of Franklin; her granddaughter Sally Ann Williamson of Florence, SC; her daughter‑in‑law, Sheila Williamson of Edneyville, NC; two great‑grandchildren, Mason and Avery Williamson of Franklin; one sister and husband Ethel and J. R. Ammons of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Roper Family Cemetery. Rev. Randy Drinnon and Rev. John Raby will be officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jeff Williamson, Jim Higdon, Mickey Raby, Billy Ray Rice, Bruce Mason and Bill Higdon.
