Lucille Mcdaniel

Lucille Jarrett McDaniel, 86, of Franklin, NC, formerly from Sanford, Florida, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at home with family by her side.

Born in Holden, County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Claude Allen and Edna Allen Shawger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice "Mac" McDaniel in 1995 and former husband, Charles L. Jarrett, Sr. in 2001 and her three sisters, Marie Elliott, Helen Craddock, Bessie English and two brothers, Jessie Allen and Jim Allen.

Lucille was a Head Start teacher in Seminole County, Florida for fourteen years and retired in 1995. She loved being with and nurturing children and took great pride as a teacher. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dunbar, WV.

She is survived by two children, Diana Lovell of Franklin, NC and Charles L. Jarrett, Jr. of South Carolina, three grandchildren, Stephen Lovell of Franklin, NC,  Daniel Jarrett of Seattle, WA and Lisa Sell of Johnson City, TN; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Sell and Gavin Sell of Johnson City, TN, and a brother, Leonard Allen of Holden, WV.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
