Lynn Patricia Morris

Highlands, NC - Lynn Patricia Morris, 71, of Highlands, North Carolina, died June 23, 2012. She was born March 26, 1941 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was the only beloved child of the late Marc Leonard and Vida Ball Fleishel. Lynn was a Tampa debutant, an extraordinary cook, and a devoted loving wife and mother.

She is survived by John B. Morris, her husband of 50 years, three children: Vida Morris, Marc Morris and Michelle Mathis, son-in-law Troy Mathis, daughters-in-law Sara Morris and Deborah Smith and four grandchildren: Marc and Cannon Morris and Austin and Amber Mathis.

Lynn was a beautiful compassionate person who always had a smile or a kind word to share. She loved living in the mountains and visiting the beach. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed keeping track of all their athletic activities and academic achievements.

At Lynn’s request, a private family memorial was held in her honor. Lynn will truly be missed by both her family and dearest friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the American Cancer Society would be welcomed.
