Mac Arthur Williamson, Sr.

Mr. Mac Arthur Williamson, Sr. 81, passed away Saturday June 28, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Mac was born August 10, 1943, in Macon Co. NC to the late Glen Williamson and Nola Roper Williamson.

Mac was formally of Madison, Georgia and moved back to the North Carolina Mountains to enjoy the beautiful mountain views and fulfill his dream of building himself a cabin in the woods. He worked and retired from installing hardwood floors in many homes and business.

Survivors include his two sons, Mark Williamson (Robin), and Keith Brand (Kimberly) : two daughters, Mandy Williamson and Hannah Williamson; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Debbie Hardy; a brother, Charlie Williamson; and several special nephews.

In addition to his parents Mac was preceded in death by a son, Mac Arthur Williamson, Jr. in 2009; and five siblings, Benjamin Roper Williamson, Rod Williamson, Elaine Williamson, Judy Dills, and Jimmy Williamson.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Roper Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
