Mack Newton Mccoy

Mack Newton McCoy, age 74, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016.  He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Homer and Hallie Holland McCoy.  He was former owner of McCoy Automotive and Alignment Service, an avid coon hunter and bear hunter and loved the outdoors.  He was a member of Prentiss Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Pauline H. McCoy; two sons, Robert William McCoy and William Newton McCoy both of Franklin, NC; two grandchildren, Chantel McCoy Lakey and Deanna McCoy; one great-grandchild, Ellie Lakey; two sisters, Helen Ramsey of Franklin, NC and Virginia Cunningham of Marietta, GA.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Neville McCoy, Eunice Cabe, and Vesta McCoy Lyons.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, December 26, 2016 at 12:00 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Tracy Tallent officiating.  Burial will be in Wells Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.  to 12:00 p.m. Monday, prior the service at the funeral home.
