Franklin, NC - Mae Dryman Potts Tucker, 83, of Franklin passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 in a local hospital. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Olen and Edna Brown Dryman. She was married to Jack Tucker who preceded her in death. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to travel and work in her flowers. She was a member of Highlands First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by two step daughters, Lisa Crowe and Leslie Tucker both of Highlands; one son, Dennis Potts of Otto and two sisters, Mary Roper and Helen Dishner both of Franklin, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Doug Potts and David Potts and two brothers, Cecil Dryman and Wayne Dryman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home in Highlands. Burial will be in Highlands Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Macon County Unit Relay for Life, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744.
