Mahlon Hubler Batdorf Jr, known as Sonny, was born in Winston Salem, NC on December 30, 1933. He passed away in Franklin, NC on December 28, 2018 where he resided. He is survived by his loving family, sons Kevin & Viola Batdorf, Michael & Lisa Batdorf, Keith Batdorf and Christine, daughter Tania Batdorf & Nancy Smith, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his extended family Paula Smith, his God-daughter Jenny and the Ledford family. He is predeceased by his parents, Mahlon Hubler Batdorf, Sr. & Juanita Marie McHale, his sister Juanita Dunstan and his son Christopher Batdorf.  He was a lover of all animals, gardening, football, politics, military history and loved the fresh air from the beaches up to the mountains.  May he rest in peace and may God bless his soul. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.
