Mamie Addington Wise

Greenwood, SC - Mamie Addington Wise, 87, resident of 1110 Marshall Road, wife of Raleigh Warren Wise, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Franklin, NC, January 25, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Weaver and Nina Cabe Addington. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Mamie was formerly employed with Dupont Chemical Corporation as a Chemist. She was retired from Monsanto Chemical of Charleston, WV, where she served as a Technical Librarian.

Surviving in addition to her husband Warren, whom she married December 5, 1957, of the home are three nieces; two nephews; and her baby cats, Baby Kitty and Tiger. She was preceded in death by a brother, A.B. Addington; sister, Mary A. Keels; and a nephew, Albert W. Addington.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery in Franklin, NC with Reverend Gervase C. Hitch officiating.
