Mrs. Margaret Marshall Northrup, 93, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 7, 2024. Mrs. Northrup was born a coal miner's daughter on January 1, 1931, in Logan County, West Virginia to the late Charles Marshall and Leota Perkins Marshall.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her greatest love and faith was the Lord. She loved to cook, exercise, take long walks, participate in marathons, help with homeless shelters, volunteer at CareNet in the food bank.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Mr. Russell Northrup; six children, Linda Gibbs (Glenn), Russell Northrup, Teresa Cartwright (Wayne), Debra Burnett (Bill), Janet Curtis, and Pam Woodall; a sister-in-law, Patsy Marshall; ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and 7 great- great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law's, Woodie Woodall and Brian Curtis; and seven siblings, Harry Eugene Marshall, Madeline Beech, Violet Bennett, Durwood Marshall, Hubert Marshall, Cleadeth Marshall and Wayne Marshall.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Darlene Keller officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30- 7:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be private.
