Margaret "Peggy" Willingham Wolfe

Margaret "Peggy" Willingham Wolfe, 81, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was born February 12, 1944, in Bradenton, FL to the late William Carlyle Willingham and Margaret Mathenson Willingham.

Mrs. Wolfe was a high school teacher in Manatee County, FL for 37 years and an additional 10+ years in other roles in education. She lived on Anna Maria Island and loved the beach. After retirement she and her husband moved to Franklin and have lived here for ten years. She loved to read and loved the mountains.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Douglas Wolfe; a sister, Jane Sprague; niece, Jennifer Johnson (Bryan); nephews, Gary Willingham (Becki), Greg Willingham (Christina) and Robert Willingham (Traci); two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Willingham and a brother, Bill Willingham.
