Margaret Phillips

Asheville, NC and Franklin, NC-

Margaret “Peggy” Brubaker Phillips, age 88, died peacefully on July 30, 2016, at Brooks Howell Home.  Peggy was born April 7th, 1928 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Henry Brubaker and Julia Belle Tillman Phillips. She moved to Franklin, North Carolina in the 1950’s.  She loved being surrounded by the mountains but also enjoyed traveling.  Peggy had a fondness of animals and became the care taker of various cats needing love and attention.  She was an avid reader and could always be found with a book or newspaper.  She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and taking walks.  She was always pleasant, soft spoken and had a smile on her face.  Her sweet nature was a gift to all that she encountered.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, sister Anne Tillman and brother John.  No services are planned.  Bryant Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences are available at bryantgrantfuneralhome.com.
