Margaret Jeanne (Young) Hardin

Franklin, NC

Margaret Jeanne Hardin, 80, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017.  She was born in Orange County Florida to the late Donald and Stella Young.

Mrs. Hardin loved her career as a teacher.  She was an avid gardener and enjoyed arts and crafts as well.  In addition, she was a NASCAR Fan and loved the Florida Gators.  She was very generous and contributed to a wide variety of charities.  Mrs. Hardin went much of her adult life without driving.  One of her proudest accomplishments was getting her license to drive as an adult.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace Hardin, son, Robert “Bob” Gordon Fitton (Marjorie) of St. Cloud, Florida, stepdaughter Tracy Lynn Evans (Michael) of Jacksonville, Florida, and stepson Rick Westerman (Debby) of Franklin, North Carolina; grandchildren that include Joseph, Justin, Jennifer, and Jordan Westerman, Lyndsey Buckle, Amy Schaet, Sarah Schaet; and two great-grandchildren Bradyn Buckle and Everette Buckle.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 11:00am in the chapel of Bryant- Grant Funeral Home with Mr. Rick Westerman officiating. A private burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
