Martha (Reese) Lamb

Martha Reese Lamb, age 78, of Highlands, NC, passed away  Sunday, February 7, 2016.  She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Joseph Reese, Jr. and Lucille Pierson Reese.  She was a hairdresser and a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by a daughter, Gina L. Thacker (Greg) of Virginia, a son, Brett D. Lamb (Cheryl) of Highlands, NC; four grandchildren, Cole Lamb, Quinn Thacker, Brent Sleight and Kirstyn Lamb; two brothers, Louis W. Reese of Atlantic Beach, FL and Daniel Q. Reese of Lawrenceville, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph R. Reese.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 20th at 3:00 pm at Highlands Presbyterian Church.  The family will receive friends following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice.
