Franklin, NC - Martha Geneva Lutz Hunnicutt, age 87, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. Born in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late B. O. and Carrie Lugene Rhoney Lutz. She was married to the late Jimmie Thomas Hunnicutt who died in 1995. She was a member of Wells Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hunnicutt is survived by one son James T. Hunnicutt, Jr. of Union, SC formerly of Franklin; a daughter in law, Carlene Angel Hunnicutt; two sisters, Virginia Buff of Casar, NC and Mary Johnson of Hildebran, NC; two brothers, Noah Lee Lutz of Conover, NC and Carl Lutz of Hickory, NC; two grandchildren, Angela Hunnicutt Stewart and husband Brad of Franklin, NC and Jon Eric Hunnicutt and wife Jessie of Union, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Don Leonard Hunnicutt who died in 1969; a sister, Ruby Walker and a brother, Hoke Lutz.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Dixon and Rev. Vic Greene officiating. Burial will be in Wells Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wiggins, Roger Guest, Jackie Cook, Jerry Cook, Tim Cook and Mike Holland. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
