Martha Ellen Stanfield

Franklin, NC - Martha Ellen Stanfield, age 84, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010. She was a native of Jackson County, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Treadway Cabe. She was married to the late Elmer "Buddy" Stanfield. She retired from Rabun Mills and worked at Van Raalte for several years. She attended Cullasaja Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Katie Jane Watts of Mountain City, GA; two sons, Johnny Stanfield and Ronnie Stanfield both of Franklin, NC; a step-daughter, Marty Stanfield of Franklin, NC; a sister, Edith of Denver, Colorado; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survives. She was preceded in death by a son Elmer Stanfield, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 10th at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John O. Stanfield, J.D. Stanfield, Michael Stanfield, James Gibson, Jack Mason and Joe Holt.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service Wednesday at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
