Mary Aileen Block

Mary Aileen Block, 99, of Pompano Beach, Florida and formerly of Highlands passed away on July 13, 2016 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. She was born in Kings County, New York, the daughter of the late Fredrick A. and Mary Ryan Guinand.

She was a freelance writer and was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church.  She was a member of Highlands Falls Country Club; served on the Emergency Relief Council and Hospice of Highlands.

Mrs. Block is survived by a daughter, Merry Block of Charlotte, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Edward Block who died in 2000.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Highlands Memorial Park.
