Mary Elizabeth Bryson Dills

Franklin, NC - Mary Elizabeth Bryson Dills, age 92, of Dills Knob Road, Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at a Highlands-Cashiers Care Center. She was a lifelong native of Macon County, the daughter of the late William Marion Bryson and Mary Emma Bell Bryson. She was married to Briscoe Marion Dills who passed away in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School Teacher and held a number of positions and was always a faithful member. She was very family oriented and was a very loving person to people in need.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice McClure and her husband David of Franklin, NC and Teresa Jean Roper and her husband Wayne of Asheville, NC; two sons, Bruce Douglas Dills and his wife Debbie of Franklin, NC and Kenneth Marion Dills and his wife June of Durham, NC. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 7 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. John Rogers, Rev. Alton Dendy, Rev. Greg Rogers officiating. Bill Bryson, Joe Bryson, Butch Deal, Glenn Holland, Mike Suttles, and Landy Holland will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be held at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 7, from 1:00-3:00 PM, two hours prior to service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Shirley Stiles, 1361 Frazier Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
