Mary (Henson) Cagle

Mary Henson Cagle, 96, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 in an Asheville hospital.  Born in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Virginia Fuller Henson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Garrison.

Mrs. Cagle was employed as an inspector for Burlington Industries, Belden Electric Cord and owned and operated a home based beauty salon.  She was a member of Newfound Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, June G. Inman (James) of Ellijay, GA and Jewel G. Parker of Otto; one son, Henry Bruce Garrison (Margie) of Franklin; grandchildren, Shaun Parker (Crystal), Phylliss Smith,  "Bo" Garrison, Jr. (Ashley), John Herschel Garrison (Phylliss), Rebecca Bradley (Jeff) and Mark Wells (Donna) and great-grandchildren, Jordan Wells, Savannah Parker, Kandice Parker, Cassidy Parker, Lance Parker, Johnnie Garrison , John Garrison, Jr., Bug Smith, Jediah Stanfield, Estella Bradley, Andrew Garrison, and Ayden Garrison.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Garrison; a son, John David Garrison and a granddaughter, Jody Smith; five sisters, Bessie Swanson, Bernice Waldroup, Flora Henson, Ann Allen and Clara Gregory and three brothers, J. B. Henson, Charles Henson and Claude Henson.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Alan Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Shaun Parker, Bo Garrison, John Garrison, Mark Wells, Jeff Stanfield, Bug Smith, Steve Keener and Billy Sprinkle. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 - 7:00 pm at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
