Mary Elizabeth (Cook) Starz

Mary Elizabeth Cook Starz, 89, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 26, 2024. Mary was born October 17, 1934, in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Charles Cook and Mary Lou Hutchinson Cook.

Mary was a homemaker and a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Mary served as a missionary to the country of China for several years ministering to many people in the country. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mary loved to laugh and be generous with all she had.

Survivors include her children, Dianne Cueto (Manuel), Jimmy Hannah, and Chuck Bedford (Carmen); 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Llyona Cross (Doug) and Kris McGowen; and five siblings, Danny Cook, Joe Cook, Steve Cook, Billie McNutt, and Mickey Cook. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Starz, and a brother, Mike Cook.

A private burial will take place at the Addington Cemetery in Franklin, NC.
