Mary Ruth Corpening

Franklin- Mary Ruth Corpening, age 75, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008 in a local nursing home. She was a native and life long resident of Macon County. She was the daughter of Frank and Cora Miller. She retired from Belden Electric Cord as an Inspector and was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Frank D. Corpening; one daughter, Teresa Jane Corpening of Troy, NC’ two sons, Keith Corpening and Kevin C. Corpening of the home; three sisters, Esther Garrett of Tiger, GA, Naomi Johnson of Candler, NC and Helen Brown of Franklin, NC; one brother, James Miller of Scaly Mtn., NC

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Garrett, John Cook, Lyman Holland, Jim Thurmond, James Wood and Brian Thurmond.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, November 17 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
