Mary Lee Mashburn

Franklin, NC - Mary Lee Mashburn, 91, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 in a local hospital. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late B. Harrison and Mabel May McGaha Pannell. She was married to David Austin Mashburn, who died April 22, 2008.

Mrs. Mashburn was an inspector for Belden Electric Cord. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved taking care of her family. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Mashburn Williams and husband Jimmy of Clayton, GA and Martha Bates and husband Chuck of Franklin, NC; one son, Marvin Mashburn and wife Frankie of Franklin, NC; daughter-in-law, Mary E. Mashburn of Franklin, NC; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, James David Mashburn; a grandson, James David Mashburn, Jr.; five sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Dryman and Rev. Tommy Fouts officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Mashburn, Danny Bates, Charles Williams, Greg Moore, Vick Sanders, Melvin Mashburn and Ricky Mashburn. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
