Mary Viola Morgan

Sylva, NC -Mary Viola Bailey Morgan, age 81, of Sylva, NC, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 in a Sylva Hospital. She was a native of Macon County, the daughter of the late Frank and Lottie Barrett Bailey. She was married first to Furman Brendle, who died in the Korean War, and second to Fred Allen Morgan, who passed away in 2002. She was a nurses’ aid, and attended Watauga Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Brendle, two sisters, Lola Pressley and Ethel E. Sanders and three brothers, Elwood, Carl and Robert Bailey.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. David Lee Williams and Rev. Randy Gregory officiating. Burial will be at Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Gregory, Kevin Morgan, Caleb Middleton, Lewis Williams, Jeremy Gregory and Stacy Dills.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
