Mary Edna Morgan Seay

Franklin, NC - Mary Edna Morgan Seay, age 86, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Horace J. and Nellie Wilkes Morgan. She was married to Lewis Seay who passed away in 1989. She was a homemaker and had worked at Burlington Industries and Macon County Co-Op. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed embroidery and bird watching.

Mrs. Seay is survived by three daughters, Linda Seay of Atlanta, GA, Mary Nell Higdon and her husband Jimmie and Frances Leigh Seay all of Franklin; three sons, Lewis W. "Jay" Seay, Jr., David L. "Burr" Seay and Horace B. Seay (Jinger) all of Franklin, NC; two grandchildren, Lisa Dixon and Sharon Wilcox; two great-grandchildren, Luke Dixon and Jordon Dixon; one great-great-grandson, Lucas Dixon.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Barry Bowman officiating. Burial will be at Wilkes Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Dixon, Jordan Dixon, Ellis Wilkes, Clinton Ledford, Tim Teague and Roger Seay, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Teague, Joe Tippett, Kenny Seay, Ronnie Childers, Charles Higdon, Lucas Dixon and Bob Kelley.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 30 from 6:00-8:00PM, at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
