Mary "Betty" (Peek) Mccall

Mrs. Mary “Betty” Peek McCall, 90, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 23, 2019.  Mrs. McCall was born June 3, 1929 in Macon County to the late John Peek and Ella Keener Peek. She was married to the late Algie McCall who preceded her in 2016. Betty enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was of the Baptist faith; and she worked for Van Raalte Hosiery Plant for many years as an office clerk.  Later she worked for the Macon County School System as a lunch room supervisor where she retired from.

Survivors include her son, Dale McCall and his wife, Donna of Franklin, NC; a granddaughter, Amber McCall of Franklin, NC; a special cousin, Elaine Long of Franklin, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Beverly McCall; and a brother, Furman Peek.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Peek, Elbert McConnell, Brandon Hatch, Keith Brown, Roland Hogsed, and Billy Blackwell.
