Mary Helen (Smith) Struble

Mary Helen Smith Struble, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Mrs. Struble was born November 5, 1937, in Fentress County, Tennessee, one of 12 children born to the late Elbert and Opal Leona Gertrude Smith. In addition to her husband, Calvin Lee Struble.

Mary was preceded in death by her children Calvin Eugene "Gene" Struble and Glenn Dean Struble.

Ms. Struble is survived by three children, Barbara Ann Tusing, Linda Gail Sanders, and Mark Elden Struble; a daughter-in-law, Joann Struble; seven grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many great, great grandchildren. Mary and Calvin both worked at Burlington Industries for many years before Mary successfully owned Mary's Country Kitchen in Otto, NC for 14 years. Then, after a short break, co-owned Linda Lou + Mary, Too in Dillard, GA for several years. Mary loved to bake. She may not have been everyone's mother, but she served as a mom to all who knew her. Mary had a deep love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM January 18th, 2025, at the Cartoogechaye Church of God with the Rev. Gerald Vinson officiating. The family will receive visitors starting at 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
