Mary Frances Tanner Blaine

Franklin, NC - Mary Frances Tanner Blaine, age 78, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at a local nursing home. She was born in Clay County, NC the daughter of the late Creed and Faye Hogsed Tanner. She was married to Gene "Bud" Lewis Blaine who died April 11, 2003. She worked in factories and was a member of Double Churches "Cartoogechaye Church of God" where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed cooking and helping others.

She is survived by her children Ricky Blaine and wife, Sue of Franklin, NC, Janet Beer and her husband, Jeff of Victor, Montana, Timothy Ray Norris and wife Pat of Winder,GA; Faye Vinson and her husband Ralph of Laurens, SC, John Blaine and his wife, Mary Lee of Franklin, NC; one sister, Louise Moss Teague of Cramerton, NC; two brothers, Noland Tanner of Rock Hill, SC ad Jack Hooper of Gastonia, NC. Ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Blaine and a brother, Jimmy Hooper.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Dryman and Rev. Phillip Cochran officiating. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Kenneth Blaine, David Blaine, John Blaine, Dean Buchanan, Duke Buchanan, Randy Tanner, Greg Tanner and Chris Wallace.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 31 from 10:00-11:00 AM, one hour prior to service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
