Mary Dianne Turner Raper

Franklin, NC - Mary Dianne Turner Raper, age 65, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, June 4, 2012. Born in Edgecombe County, she was the daughter of the late A. C. and Mary Ruth Morgan Turner. She held a managerial position in the medical field and was a charter member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church.

Mrs. Raper is survived by two daughters, Beverly Ann Hurst and husband Benny of Franklin, NC and Jennifer Leigh Martin and husband Tony of Greenville, NC; five grandchildren, Benny Hurst, Jr., Jacob Hurst, Sophia Martin, Riley McClain and Jeremiah Parham; sister, Brenda Gail Walston of Fountain, NC; two brothers, Joe Turner of Conway, NC and Wayne Turner of Fountain, NC; and extended family in Eastern North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Hurst, and a sister, Jean Tugwell.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Hurst and Rev. Vic Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 104 East Main St., Franklin, NC 28734.
