Mattie Belle Buchanan

Mattie Belle Buchanan, 96, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018.  She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Isabelle Thompson Buchanan.  Mattie was the last of eight children. She had worked for the Federal Government and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tommy Fouts officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.   Burial will be in Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
