Mattie Pearl Mccall Johnson

Franklin, NC - Mattie Pearl McCall Johnson, 89, of Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in a local hospital. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late James Andrew "Andy" and Cynthia Moses McCall. She was married to D. L. Johnson, who preceded in her in death. Mrs. Johnson loved to draw; she loved flowers; watching birds, and listening to the radio. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Ernst and husband Erwin of Macclenny, FL and Wanda Dillard of Franklin; two sons, Douglas Michael Johnson and wife Frances of Algood, TN and Jimmie Johnson and wife Patty of Franklin; five grandchildren, Deborah Childers Dean, Kevin Michael Dillard, Billy Johnson, James Randall Childers and Misty Dianne Johnson Day and three great grandchildren, Amber Rebecca Combs, Andrea Lynne Johnson and Christian Childers and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jewell Johnson; a granddaughter, Tava Ann Johnson; a sister, Polly Sutton and two brothers, Cornell McCall and Lenis McCall.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Vic Greene and Rev. Benny Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Dean, James Randall Childers, Casey Day, Erwin Ernst, Kevin Dillard and Chris Nemecek. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2:00 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
